Next, focus on the geometry of the bike and, as with conventional bikes, the size of the bike is chosen primarily according to the height of the body in this respect the choice of an electric bike does not differ from a classic bike. Once you know what kind of bike you want and need, you can focus on choosing according to the specifics of the e-bike and how much you want to invest in a new e-bike - the basic price determinants are the location of the bike's drive and battery capacity, and finally other equipment.

Bike drive

Electric bikes are rear or centre drive. This means they either have the motor in the center hub of the rear wheel or in the cranks, pedals. More or less, the better bikes in the higher price range have a mid-motor. Typically mountain or road. The rear motor is on the cheaper bikes - cross or urban.

Battery

After unlocking and pressing the lock button, the battery can be removed and taken to your room to charge, for example, but you can also charge the battery directly on the bike from a conventional 230 V socket or use a charging station.

Battery life depends on the number of charge and discharge cycles. It's quoted at about 1000 cycles, but of course it depends on how often you ride and how you take care of the battery, where you store it during a long break...

Your battery will last longer if you store it at room temperature, charged to between 20 and 80% of its capacity. Try not to discharge the battery below 20% during use.
